$3.99 a gallon, Atlanta GA, August 31, 2005
Two days ago, gas was at $3.99 in Midtown Atlanta (Highland and North avenue). Across town, it was $2.99 (Boulevard, just south of Memorial), at my usual gas station.
Usually full of minorities, ‘my’ gas station was full of white people; talking about gas prices. They told me they’d been driving all over town to find lower prices.
