Automated Food …

Cool. Don’t even get out of the car to get your groceries — just select them via computer from the parking lot. And humans are being eliminated in fast food as well. A robot manager named Bob uses input from cameras that gauge the cars in the drive-thru of Mickey D’s … and factors that in with a whole bunch of other data to forecast what folks will order; which is relayed to the kitchen staff. This takes the “guesswork” out of fast food, and has relegated the kitchen into a quiet place. Geez. I’m all up with the technology, but talk about sucking the soul out of food. Quiet, automated kitchens. Purchasing your groceries via computers — it’s all processed and in packages anyways … why get out of the car? Ah, fresh vegetables. Don’t worry — I’ll fight for ya.
