Cruzin Cooler, Ride On
ATLANTA, Georgia, January 12, 2007
Admittedly, it is a bit of a cop out for my first post over a month to simply be a YouTube clip of some fat dudes riding motorized coolers.
But c’mon - fat dudes riding motorized coolers! Of all of the situations I can think of where a motorized cooler full of beer comes in handy, none seems as rad as the drunken sombrero races in the woods.
Tempted? Visit CruzinCooler.com to peep it for yourself. According to a CNN article too bland to link to, manufacturers at CES reported sales of over 40,000 thus far.
To those of you who’ve inquired what happened to the blog - thanks for your support. 2007 wasn’t the best year for me - there’s an essay in that, somewhere, if I can get to it - and I’m hoping that 2008 will be a period of rebuilding. To that end, say a word of thanks to Ma and Pa Fries for helping to fund the purchase of a new MacBook Pro [unpacking porn]. My sputtering, battered, four-year-old PowerBook G4 was dropped in more countries than most people will visit in their lifetime. It was a loyal companion; the only constant in my young professional life as I moved from Tejas to Florida to Atlanta to Europe to DC and then, improbably, back to Atlanta again.
My hands, resting on fresh, new aluminum, feel the potential of another four years in this new machine. Here’s to what that will bring.
