Googly Gold
Hmm. In doing some research this evening, I found a use for Google News that I didn’t know about previously. A Google News Search can be pinpointed to a specific publication — which is incredibly useful if you’d like a quick overview of what a particular pub has written about a topic in recent history.
Simply list the “source:” followed by the name of the publication (using underscores to separate multiword publications; i.e. source:cnn; source: new_york_times; source:san_antonio_current), and then whatever buzzword you’re looking up that day.
I ran a quick test with “source:new_york_times job” and the results were very good in comparision to a regular Google search, or a search of NYT.com. Neat!
