Meatball sub, Village Pizza, Cabbagetown, GA
I don’t mean to brag or nuffin’, but my meatsaballa sub here was really damn good.
I know, I know, I just got the vacuum food sealer, and I’m supposed to be experimenting and cooking at home.
But sometimes a girl’s got to restructure the hierarchy of archived article content for three papers overnight, and on those nights, this girl wanders down to new favorite Cabbagetown restaurante, Village Pizza.
Often, I grab a slice of pesto from this joint … all’s I can say is that it’s darn good.
Meatballs are just right … hearty comfort food with just enough bite in them, mildly flavored with chopped onion and what looks like dried oregano. The sauce is tangy and plain — not overdone — the bread is toasted to crispy perfection, and I totally heart that melty gooey cheese.
Only one quibble: What’s up with serving Mesquite chips with this?
Just kidding, Village Pizza. The chips look good.

HI Cortini … wish I could take credit for it, but Metblogger Meigh is the scanner. But yeah, I look it up myself like once a week. In fact, I had a medium pesto pizza last night. Mmmm … pesto.
