More ANGRY Neighbors
The angry neighbors strike again! This time, I heard a car park outside my window, and a polite knock followed. I thought it was my nice neighbor, coming to say goodbye. But no — it was a cop — actually, a handsome cop, who wanted to know if I was complaining about my neighbor’s stereo. You see — he thought I was the quiet one.
I explained that my ANGRY neighbors lived upstairs. He went up and talked to them; I waited in the stairwell. Apparently, they made some sort of “anonymous” call about a loud disturbance in the area, unaware that police can trace addresses on landlines. (I told you, they’re smart.)
When the cop came downstairs, I was still astonished … “They called the cops on me?” I asked. Sure, last night I thought they had — but this was incontrovertible proof!
Angry Neighbor Car
Actually, the cop explained, my lady-neighbor had gone down to the physical police station herself. Upon arriving, they told her to call to file a complaint. She obviously called her boyfriend, and asked him to call in; cause the cop got back before she did.
“Ok, LauraFries.com — they are the ANGRY neighbors. They are SUPPOSED to call the cops on you.” This is what you are thinking.
But see, I was confused today — because the male ANGRY neighbor walked by me several times today; the first time, he said, “Thanks for keeping the music low today.” I walked by him several more times this evening, as I was making trips out to the trash. And he said NOTHING about the volume of my stereo — which has been playing music from my iPod at the same volume all day long. Then less than an hour later — his ladyfriend calls the cops on me!
These people!
