RSS Hits the Big Time!

The Current just finished up its big FCC package, and as a part of that, I got to write a story I’d been dying to: a “How-to-primer” on how to get started with RSS technology, and the utility of blogging to the spread of information. Of course, the second I put it into print, it hits the mainstream: MyYahoo! has just released a beta version of RSS feeds to their aggregators. It’s a little frustrating, because I would have loved to point to that as an example of how this technology is finally breaking out into the mainstream. But, alas, the print world cannot hope to keep up with the digital, and so my outdated story will continue to be read by readers in the physical world for another five days. Ah, Yahoo!
