Tacos, Pizza, BBQ & Beer, SXSWi

WASHINGTON, DC, March 14, 2007

I finally made it back to DC after 12 hours of traveling.

Thanks nature!

When I went to Austin fer the 2007 South by Southwest Interactive conference, I was determined to eat TACOS. Lots of Tacos.

And eat I did - tacos, pizza, barbecue and lots and lots of beer. My body wouldn’t recognize a vegetable if it saw one.

I consumed ABSOLUTELY no dietary fiber during SXSWi

Mushroom, tomato and red onion “frittata” with bacon, Doubletree Guest Suites Room Service

Carne Guisada and Chorizo, Egg, Potato and Cheese tacos, Taco Shack

Beer Battered Fish Tacos

Bacon and Egg, Chorizo and Egg and Al Pastor tacos

Pepperoni Pizza

Barbacoa and potato, egg, cheese and chorizo tacos

Pulled pork sandwich, Jo’s Coffee

BBQ Plate at the Firefox party

Beef tacos, Austin Airport

Enormo beer, Houston Airport

I’m literally disgusted by how much meat I ate. (The beer thing doesn’t bother me as much.)

So I ordered sumthin kinda healthy in the Houston airport.

Seared tuna steak sandwich & salad

But then I ate this too:

Tiny turkey sandwich, carrots and M&Ms

Doh! I just now remembered I did not eat all my M&Ms.

    AWESOME post! (I tried to take pictures of everything I ate in the four-day trip to SXSW, but my 2GB compact flash chip ran out of space.) ;-)

    Re-introducing my morning run didn’t help any either… Good times!

    Dude. I’m like sweating meat. My pores are exuding tacos. I don’t have internal organs, just stretchy balloons where my stomach keeps its extra beer.

    I’ve been slamming water and salad bar all day, but I still feel like a mutant from Planet Carne.

    I’m sooo needing to do something more physical than typing. But the Internet is so, so, so good … Flickr collections feature, anyone?

    P.S. You seem to find better meals at airports than I do in an entire city.
