We All Live In Spreadsheets
If you spend as much time as I do in spreadsheets, you’ll want them to look good! These templates are set up using Google Sheets and they are free for you to use, if you’d like!
Template: Blog Editorial Calendar
If you need to plan a year’s worth of content at a time, you might find this handy. I used this layout at THD for years! Use columns to organize posts by Type, Author, and Status. This easily prints in either landscape or portrait mode for team meetings.
FEATURES
Calendar view by Fiscal Week. Use one row per planned blog post. This template uses hidden numbers in the gray horizontal rows, which enables you to re-sort the sheet as you like without ruining the ability to format it for print with the handy Fiscal Week rows.

Template: Weekend Trip Planner
Ok, so you may not spreadsheet your weekends. Which is FINE, I guess. But when traveling or hosting friends, I like to draw up a quick spreadsheet of ideas, meals, and activities. Here’s a template I drew up for a friend’s Thanksgiving visit.
FEATURES
Use the double column layout to plan your activities by location. Super useful if you’re hopping around the Bay Area. Scroll down to create alternate plans, such as visiting the Aquarium on a different day.
